The Deutsche Samstagsschule Houston (DSSH), a Saturday language school accredited by the German government, is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to join our growing team.
With over 40 years of excellence in German language education, DSSH offers high-quality instruction that supports students of all ages on their path to bilingualism and global engagement.
About Our Program
- Classes take place on Saturdays throughout the school year
- Morning session: 8:45–11:30 a.m.
- Afternoon session: 12:00–2:15 p.m.
- Additional online classes during the week
- Programs include:
- Children’s classes in two tracks: native/heritage speakers and German language learners
- Adult classes for all proficiency levels
We Are Hiring:
Preschool Teachers and Assistants
Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers and Assistants
Teachers for Adult Learners
Qualifications:
- Fluent in German and English (bilingual and biliterate; native German speakers preferred)
- Experience in early childhood education and/or teaching German as a Foreign Language
(teaching degree preferred; relevant transferable experience considered) - Enthusiastic, flexible, and reliable
- Comfortable using technology in the classroom
- Must have valid U.S. work authorization
